The 2022 Guitar Show, now in its fifth edition, also goes down in the history books and does so by sending very important signals of vitality to the entire music industry.
The richest edition ever, 150 exhibitors including 110 direct and 40 indirect exhibitors represented in attendance, marks a significant +57% compared to the post-pandemic “emergency edition” organized in July 2021. A key statistic this year is a 28 percent foreign exhibitors further consolidating the international character of the event.
The audience was undoubtedly one of the big players in this edition. A 40% growth over 2021 with a clear +15% compared to the pre-covid edition of 2019.
We would like to point out a particularly significant fact: the average permanence of the public in the exhibition halls increased by almost 3 hours on a daily basis compared to the last survey in the 2019 edition, a fact that visually translates into much more populated halls thanks to the quality of the spaces, the abundance of things to see and size of the events program.
The origin of visitors is divided into about 38 percent from the various provinces of Veneto, 54 percent from the rest of Italy, and an important 8 percent of visits from different countries including Germany, France, Austria, Switzerland, England, Israel, Croatia and Slovenia.
The quality of the set-ups has grown enormously thanks to an increasingly important effort made by the companies involved. The exhibitors’ dedication to taking care of their own presence gives the event as a whole a visual, qualitative impact with an increasingly international tenor.
We have not surprisingly titled this statement with the phrase “A collective success.” We are convinced that in order to build and grow a major international event such as the Guitar Show, the active involvement of all stakeholders is necessary: exhibitors, the public and of course, us, the organizers. Each for a third in a win-win-win exchange – exhibiting, visiting and organizing!
The simultaneity with the Padua Trade Fair “Campionaria” introduced a lot of positive aspects. A truly important food and beverage offer, much more to see, and a productive collaboration with Radio Company in programming the large outdoor stage.
Among the many things that make us proud we should certainly mention the growth of interest around the “All Stars” concert on Saturday night, with more than 1,500 enthusiastic people under the stage, and the perfect success of the headphone events with wireless systems that mark the success of an intuition that will characterize more broadly the next editions of the Guitar Show.
Special thanks go to the Padua Fair, which is believing in this project by investing crucial trust and support, while the last but not least thanks go to all the exhibitors, the audience and the hundreds of artists who populated the 2022 edition of the Guitar Show. Without your passionate, joyful and enthusiastic participation, none of this would be possible.
So all that remains for us to do is to point out the next date to put on the calendar: May 20 and 21, 2023 at the Padua fair for the sixth edition of the Guitar Show!
