Marshall
INFO
The story of Marshall Amps begins in the garden shed of a few amateur radio enthusiasts, culminating in the period up to 1968 with the classic JTM series. Jim Marshall, a former drummer, opened his shop in London in 1960, starting with the sale of drums and later musical equipment. The idea of building amplifiers arose from the shortage of Fender amplifiers in the UK, leading to the creation of the first Marshalls. With the help of technicians like Dudley Craven, the first Marshall amplifiers quickly gained popularity, becoming an essential presence in the British rock scene of the 1960s. Artists like Pete Townshend and Eric Clapton helped spread the reputation of Marshalls, solidifying their position as a benchmark brand in the guitar amplifier world.
