Information for exhibiting at the Guitar Show 2024

The seventh edition of the Guitar Show will be held on Saturday, May 18, and Sunday, May 19, 2024, at the Padova Fair.

Padova confirms itself as the most suitable city for an event that is increasingly representative at the European level. Located in one of the most densely populated urban areas in Italy, at the center of a music system that in recent years has elevated this territory to the highest levels of activity in terms of live music, both for the presence of events, venues, festivals, and for the presence of active and qualified musicians. Not only that, Padova is one of the few cities in the world to boast two UNESCO recognitions for a total of 8 World Heritage Sites, the botanical garden and the recently recognized cycle of fourteenth-century frescoes called “Padova Urbs Picta”. An abundance of UNESCO destinations just a stone’s throw away, such as the Dolomites Natural Park, Venice, Verona, the Prosecco hills, are an unmissable attraction also from abroad for those who want to combine a trade fair event like the Guitar Show and a vacation in one of the most beautiful areas of Europe and the world.

THE PADOVA FAIR

Since the 2021 edition, the Guitar Show has moved to the Padova Fair. As one of the most important exhibition districts in Italy, it allows us to offer optimized spaces, efficient services, and logistical quality to the public and exhibitors.

LOGISTICS

Logistics, convenience, and services are essential characteristics for a quality event. The fair has large parking areas dedicated to exhibitors within the district. Access to the exhibition halls is easy, immediate, and “on the ground floor”. Padova offers ample public parking, hotels, and restaurants close to the exhibition district. The high-speed train station is a 5-minute walk away.

EXHIBITION SOLUTIONS

The completely silent Pavilion 5, dedicated to the world of classical and acoustic guitar, has been further expanded, while some optimizations of Pavilion 11 allow for an increase in the exhibition surface area. It is possible to access solutions with traditional trade fair stands in addition to the classic proposals that start from a single table.

ACOUSTIC QUALITY

Halls on Pav. 11 are acoustically treated with 7000 square meters of carpet and fully lined with 4000 square meters of sound-absorbing panels and fabrics. Reflections and reverberation are reduced to a minimum, as is the spread of noise between the various halls, which remain open to each other for better enjoyment by the public. From the 2024 edition, the control of volumes in the room will be much stricter thanks to staff equipped with sound level meters.

EXHIBITION SOLUTIONS
Exhibition solutions with pre-fitted trade fair stands are available, in addition to the classic proposals that start from a single table.

PUBLIC TESTING OF INSTRUMENTS
Electrified testing of instruments by the public is allowed in Pavilion 11 and prohibited in Pavilion 5, the latter has suitable testing spaces.

Specific rules for allowed volume:

  • PLAY AREA – Pad. 11A – we give precedence to the world of amplification and effects, allowing higher volumes but with containment rules.
  • QUIET AREA – Pad. 11B + 11C – oriented to luthiery, publishing, schools, etc., with particularly controlled volumes
  • SILENT AREA – Pad. 5 – no amplified or electrified testing allowed. There will be soundproofed testing areas and boxes.

PERFORMANCES WITH ARTISTS AT THE STAND
Performances by artists at the stand are possible exclusively in headphones in the Play and Quiet areas and in certain cases in the Silent ones. The Guitar Show, at the exhibitor’s request, provides systems with 25 wireless headphones that can be rented together with the chosen exhibition spaces. Any performance at the stand must be agreed with the organization.

The general rules to be able to host performances at the stand are as follows:

  • Have at least 16sqm of exhibition space;
  • Provide a headphone listening system for the public (if necessary, it is possible to rent the system with 25 wireless headphones provided by the organization at a cost of 299€ + VAT ;
  • The use of audio diffusion systems is prohibited;
  • The use of acoustic percussion instruments is prohibited (electronic drums and cajon are allowed);

Performances in the Standard and Plus solutions are always prohibited.

BRANDS DISTRIBUTED, REPRESENTED AND/OR HOSTED TO BE INDICATED IN THE CATALOG

  • Artisans, producers and generic exhibitors: Each exhibition station, regardless of the surface, is reported in the catalog with only the wording of the exhibitor’s name and a maximum of 1 additional brand owned by the company name holder of the exhibition space and as indicated in the “data for the public” section of the participation request. Additional brands can be registered in the catalog at a cost of € 299 + VAT
  • Shops: In addition to their own name, they can register a maximum of 2 brands for every 16sqm of exhibition space in the catalog. Any additional brands can be registered at a cost of € 299 + VAT
  • Musical Instrument Distributors: can register a maximum of 4 brands for every 16sqm of exhibition space in the catalog. Any additional brands can be registered at a cost of € 299 + VAT.

EVENT FLOOR PLAN

For those who want to demonstrate their products

PERFORMANCE ON GUITAR SHOW STAGES

Guitar Show provides stages for product demos with the possibility of hosting single demonstrators or in a band with bass, drums, and different instruments.

The demos are normally 20 minutes each, a maximum of one per exhibitor (until spaces run out) to which 10 minutes of stage setup and 10 of stage dismantling must be added. On all stages, we provide audio system, lights, microphones, cable stands, sound engineer, and backliner.

All exhibitors who have already sent the participation form and until the available spaces run out can request it. To request a performance on stage, it is necessary to fill out the following form.

To get the material directly to the fair

COURIER SHIPMENTS

We have an agreement with the official logistics provider for the Fiera di Padova. Companies that wish to ship their materials and have them delivered directly to their booth on the setup day can take advantage of this service by contacting:
