Gran Legna

Gran Legna is a lutherie workshop based in Bologna, and in recent years it has become a point of reference for local musicians for the repair and construction of guitars and basses. Gran Legna’s philosophy is to build instruments where wood plays a fundamental role, both in terms of tone—through careful selection of tonewoods—and aesthetics, preserving the dignity of the material itself. For this reason, no solid color finishes are used, allowing the grain to stand out, and very thin coatings are applied, often without the use of non-synthetic products. While the instruments inevitably draw inspiration from historic models, the range features unusual shapes and solutions which, combined with fully hand-crafted production, make each instrument unique and impossible to replicate.
