Filippo Bianchi

Let me introduce myself: my name is Filippo Bianchi and I’m from Cesena. In life, I would have liked to pursue a career as a musician and keep being a lawyer as a hobby—but I ended up doing the opposite… My passion for vintage instruments began in the mid-1990s, thanks (or perhaps because of) Stefano Ballardini and Francesco Brasini (Jimmy Guitar), from whom I bought my first vintage guitar: a 1962 Olympic White Jazzmaster, which I still own today. Since then, I’ve encountered and owned numerous vintage instruments of all brands, models, and eras, and today I can say with full awareness that I have an unconditional love for Fender Offset guitars (Jazzmaster, Jaguar, Maverick, Bass VI, Bass V, Coronado, and also Duo Sonic, Musicmaster, Mustang…). I don’t like to think of myself as a collector—perhaps because of the idea that “collectors don’t play”—but I should probably accept the reality of the facts. At Guitar Show, I’ll have an exhibition space right next to that same Jimmy who “infected” me with this passion nearly 30 years ago. By the way, the only non-vintage guitar in my (I don’t like to admit it, but I guess I have to call it this) “collection” is a C2 Custom built specifically for me by the Jimmy Guitar Factory: the “Filobianchi Signature.” See you in Bologna.
