Sergio Tomassone Roma

Sergio Tomassone, born in 1939, is a prominent figure in the Italian historic luthiery sector, renowned for his career spanning from guitar craftsmanship to founding and managing a renowned store across Europe. Starting at 15 under Maestro Piretti's guidance, he established his own shop in 1964, quickly gaining recognition for crafting high-quality guitars and basses. With the assistance of his sons Giampaolo and Davide, he transformed the store into a musical instrument enthusiast's haven, maintaining high service standards. His business stood out, ranking among Europe's top ten for leading brand sales, particularly in Fender and Gibson guitars. In 2014, alongside the historic Bologna store, he opened the new SERGIO TOMASSONE ROMA store in Via Acri 28, leveraging over fifty years of expertise and featuring over 700 instruments of top brands, a lutherie and amplification workshop, and qualified staff, quickly becoming a favorite among Roman customers and central Italy.
