In the late 1970s, Dennis Berardi and Gary Kramer co-founded a company to produce aluminum-necked guitars, joined by associates like Peter LaPlaca and investor Henry Vaccaro. The early years saw a transition from aluminum to wooden necks, with high-quality components and innovative designs. By the 1980s, Kramer guitars gained popularity, especially with the endorsement of Eddie Van Halen. Despite financial challenges and ownership changes in the late 1990s, Kramer's legacy of innovation and quality continues with reissues and new product lines.
