Founded in 2004 by Jamie Stillman, EarthQuaker Devices began as a small operation after Stillman’s passion for pedal design grew from a successful repair of an overdrive pedal. Stillman quickly transitioned from selling custom pedals on eBay to launching mass-produced pedals, with his Hoof fuzz becoming a hit in 2007. By 2011, EarthQuaker Devices had outgrown its basement workshop, prompting the company’s move to a larger facility. Julie Robbins, Stillman’s wife, joined as CEO, supporting the company’s expansion. In 2015, EarthQuaker Devices settled in a 15,000-square-foot building, continuing to innovate and design pedals for professional musicians. Today, EarthQuaker Devices is recognized for its high-quality, artist-focused pedals and remains committed to crafting unique effects that meet the needs of the music community.
